Digital X-Ray

X-Rays are a quick and painless medical test that can be used to diagnose a variety of problems, especially ones related to bone and skeletal issues. X-rays are the most common type of imaging test, and the oldest as well.

Why Digital X-Rays?

Black Rock Advanced Medical Imaging offers digital x-rays, which means that the machine emits a safe level of radiation that passes through your body and produces an image which is stored digitally. It can then be read by a radiologist and easily sent to your health care provider.

How Do I Prepare For My X-Rays?

You don’t have to do anything out of the ordinary to prepare for an x-ray. You can eat, drink, and take medication as usual.

What Should I Expect During An X-Ray?

A technologist will position you in order to get the specific views your doctor has requested. Sometimes, a pillow or sandbags will be used to help with positioning. For most people, x-rays at Black Rock will be finished in as little as five to ten minutes.

Afterward, you should be able to resume normal activities right away. Routine x-rays usually have no side effects.

At Black Rock Advanced Medical Imaging, we understand that your results are important.  All of your x-rays are digitally saved and sent to your doctor quickly. In an emergency, your results can be made available to your doctor within minutes.
