FAQ

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive, pain-free method for diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, MRIs use magnetic and radio waves, eliminating the risk of radiation exposure. Whether it’s your brain, heart, bones, or any other organ, our state-of-the-art MRI technology provides high-resolution images for accurate diagnosis.

MRI technology uses magnetic and radio waves to create detailed, high-resolution images of your internal organs and tissues. The MRI machine itself is a long, open-ended tube. During the scan, you may hear some noise, but we provide headphones or earplugs for your comfort.

The duration of your MRI can vary, but should never take more than half an hour, depending on the specific type and number of scans you’re undergoing.

The MRI process itself is pain-free. However, you may find it challenging to stay still for an extended period, which some people find uncomfortable. Our technologists use MRI-safe cushions to help you stay as comfortable as possible.

You’ll need to remove any metal-containing clothing and all jewelry. We’ll provide you with metal-free attire like gowns or shorts. Lockable dressing rooms are available to store your personal belongings securely.

Yes, you can continue taking your daily medications and maintain your regular eating and drinking habits before and after the MRI.

For safety reasons, only the patient is allowed in the scanning room. We cannot provide childcare, so please make arrangements for your children’s supervision during your appointment.

No, MRIs do not use radiation to create images, unlike X-rays or CT scans.
